Jane Schiffhauer is a multidisciplinary artist who explores the human condition by creating sculptures, prints, mixed-media work, and installations with a conceptual focus on memory, human biology, and interpersonal relationships.

For the past several years, Schiffhauer has explored the materiality of rope and fiber. She views these materials as metaphors for the pliable, random, and ever-mutable state of human existence while also honoring the historical role fibers have played in womens' work throughout time.
